Azure Data Engineering & Application Ecosystem @ SMRT
Architected and implemented a series of robust, scalable data pipelines on Microsoft Azure that serve as the foundation for a suite of user-facing Power Apps. This created a cohesive Common Data Environment (CDE) that powers SMRT's data-driven maintenance strategy.
- End-to-End System Design: Designed the entire data flow, from front-end Power Apps for data entry to the back-end Azure infrastructure for processing and storage.
- Multi-Source Ingestion: Engineered pipelines to handle diverse data sources, including manual file uploads (SharePoint), application data (Power Apps), and automated ingestion from legacy OT systems (LTT/LVDT scans) and enterprise platforms like SAP.
- ETL/ELT Orchestration: Utilized Azure Data Factory (ADF) to orchestrate complex workflows, manage dependencies, and schedule data movement and transformation tasks reliably.
- Scalable Data Processing: Implemented data cleansing, transformation, and enrichment logic using Azure Synapse Notebooks (PySpark) within a scalable Synapse Analytics environment, feeding cleansed data back to Power BI dashboards.
MEC Explorer - Enterprise Application Portal
Architected and built a comprehensive enterprise portal for SMRT's Maintenance Engineering Centre. This secure, role-based web application serves as the single source of truth for all maintenance dashboards, centralizing access and streamlining operations.
- Secure Authentication: Engineered a robust login system with user authentication and session management from scratch.
- Role-Based Access Control (RBAC): Designed and implemented a sophisticated permissions system where users only see the dashboards and controls relevant to their assigned roles.
- Dynamic Content Architecture: The application dynamically renders content based on user permissions, pulling data from a backend database to ensure data integrity and relevance.
- Full Admin Suite: Developed a complete backend interface for managing users, roles, permissions, and groups, providing full administrative control.
Power Platform Digitalization Suite @ SMRT
Spearheaded a major digitalization initiative at SMRT by designing and deploying a suite of interconnected Power Apps and Power BI dashboards. These solutions transformed critical, paper-based field operations into streamlined digital workflows for over 300 users.
- Incident & Response Management: Built apps for real-time incident activation and field team coordination, complete with live map displays for command centers.
- Inspection & Compliance: Developed mobile apps for property inspections and digital "Read & Sign" for procedural adherence.
- Data Collection & Analysis: Created solutions for noise complaint management and data collection, feeding into analytical models.
